Located in the scenic Rocky Mountain town of Jasper, Alberta, the Jasper-Yellowhead Museum & Archives is dedicated to collect, preserve and make available for research and exhibition documents and artifacts which illustrate the human history of Jasper National Park and the Yellowhead corridor.

Renseignements sur les collections
The artifact collection consists of objects pertaining to the human history of the Jasper National Park and Yellowhead corridor area. It focuses on historic commerce such as outfitting, guiding, packing, surveying and the railway; as well as recreational subjects such as climbing, skiing, hiding and riding. It also consists of objects and materials associated with pioneer households.

Archives
The Archives holdings include:books, periodicals and pamphlets pertaining to the human and natural history of the region, a manuscript collection of more than 45 metres of personal and business papers, diaries, memoirs, literary manuscripts and records of various clubs, organizations and official bodies.
The photographic holdings include 8,000 items in the form of negatives, prints, albums and transparencies. Reproduction and photographic services available. Researchers are encouraged to make an appointment.

Artifact Collection
The Jasper Yellowhead Museum and Archives house over 5000 artifacts in the collection storage. Some of the more interesting items include woolen bathing suits worn at Miette Hot Springs, wooden shovels used on the Skyline Trail in 1911, and many beautiful examples of Suzzette Swift's beadwork. The collection continues to grow with donations of new artifacts arriving regularly.
