The Municipality of Huron East, the product of amalgamation in the year 2001, consists of both rural and urban communities located within the northeast regions of Huron County. Agriculture, manufacturing, tourism rich heritage assets, rural health research and a strong entrepreneurial spirit make-up the fabric of this community.

We have a wide collection of Seaforth memorabilia and the surrounding areas. We have images of buildings and old newspaper clippings along with a variety artifacts.

The museum is self-service, however there are several knowledgeable employees of the Municipality who take the time to answer questions.

Research Services

There is a very extensive archives (paper copy only) available we are how ever working on a digital copy. A local researcher can be employed to assist with research. Contact the Municipality for information.
