Nancy Island Historic Site houses H.M.S. Nancy, a fur trading schooner that was impressed into military service during the War of 1812. At Wasaga Beach in 1814 she fought a bitter battle and was destroyed. The site houses the remains of the schooner, a theatre with an award winning short video, educational displays and a replica lighthouse - gift store at the entrance to Nancy Island. On site interpreters provide weekly educational programs during the summer.
