International Fox Museum and Hall of Fame

The International Fox Museum tells the story of fox farming on Prince Edward Island. It features exhibits, facinating artifacts and real stories about the people who made Prince Edward Island fox farming a world wide industry. The international silver fox industry began on Prince Edward Island , Canada in 1894, reaching its heyday in the years between 1915 and 1920 when a pair of silver foxes sold for as much as $ 35,000.

Hours of Operation

Operations: Seasonal

Guided tours are given to the general public and school groups. June through September.

Open: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Closed: Sunday
Since the museum is a seasonal operation we are not closed on july 1 or Labour Day

About Collections

Through use of original charcoal portraits, photographs, folk and fine art and , the museum depicts the men and women who established the fox fur industry a century ago.
