Fort Edmonton Park
Fort Edmonton Park is a living history museum that portrays the development of the community of Edmonton through four distinct time periods: 1846 - The Fur Trade Era; 1885 Street - The Settlement Era; 1905 Street - The Municipal Era, and 1920 Street - The Metropolitan Era. There are upwards of 82 original and reconstructed historic buildings, many of which are manned during our main operating season by costumed historical interpreters who help to take visitors back into time.

Renseignements sur les collections
Fort Edmonton Park is a "living museum" depicting various eras in Edmonton's development and as such there are currently about 60,000 artifacts on display in 82 original or reconstructed period buildings. We normally have a seasonal livestock collection and about 30 head of horses year round.
We feature a collection of various antique vehicles and horse drawn transportation together with a 1919 steam locomotive and colonist cars, early streetcars and a reconstructed York Boat. We are developing a growing inventory of heirloom perennials in various gardens.
